Need some GOOD new related to Covid19? Your Local Epidemiologist shares some this week:
It’s not often emails about Covid-19 from Your Local Epidemiologist starts with “There is good news” - but this week, that’s exactly what she shares:
Some points that stick out to me:
Our vaccines (with boosters!) are working! They are helping us have less-severe symptoms, resulting in less hospitalizations and death.
(Note: If you need help booking your first, second, or booster jab, feel free to message me for confidential support in getting an appointment in your area. I know there a lot of people who struggle with booking appointments themselves and want support but don’t feel comfortable asking their friends for help. I’m here for you. No questions asked if you haven’t gotten vaccinated before this, I’m just thrilled to help you get vaccinated now. Contact me: linktr.ee/keridwyn )
More tests are coming:
The FDA just announced the authorization of two more antigen tests, which will result in millions and millions of tests coming next month.
“Bottom line:
Public health is invisible when it works. Although we are in crisis mode right now, our tools are working and help is on the way. Every epi curve comes down. This one will too. Don’t take Omicron lightly, but don’t lose hope either.”

Thank you, Katelyn!
